Inspiring the Next Generation at Hereford Youth Camp

At the recent Hereford Youth Camp Careers Afternoon in Dalby, Olivia Harrison from Teys Condamine Feedlot proudly represented Teys on a panel of industry professionals, speaking with students from across the region about the exciting and diverse career opportunities available in agriculture, and the cattle industry in particular.

The event brought together young people eager to explore their futures, ask questions, and connect with those working in the field. Olivia (pictured below with fellow panellists) shared her own journey and insights into the many pathways within the ag sector—from hands-on roles in feedlots and processing, to careers in logistics, sustainability, animal nutrition, human resources, marketing, and finance.

At Teys, we are passionate about our work—it’s a dynamic and rewarding industry that plays a vital role in feeding the world. Whether you’re keen about working with livestock, interested in data and innovation, or driven to make a difference in sustainability and community engagement, there’s a place for you.

Events like the Hereford Youth Camp are crucial in helping regional youth feel informed and empowered about their next steps. It was inspiring to see so many students engaged and excited about what lies ahead.
