The team at Teys Charlton Feedlot doesn’t just bring passion to their work — they take it to the ring! Our dedicated crew helps bring the annual Charlton Campdraft to life, and 2025 was no exception.
With over 180 competitors travelling from NSW, Victoria, and South Australia, this year’s event run over 3 days from 10 – 12 October, was a huge success that showcased the spirit of regional sport and local community – a true celebration of connection, tradition, and the values we live by.
A big congratulations to all participants, including the Teys team members Jess Wilcock, Sam Gladman, Matt Hobbs, Cas Banks, Alex Rochfort, Caitlin Hornsby, Hannah Spencer, Alycia Abdy, Rebeccah Hunter and our GM of Teys Charlton Feedlot, Ash Sheahan, who was one of the winners across the three-day event. Ash’s leadership and his team’s love for camp-drafting are at the very heart of our involvement.

All cattle for the event were supplied by Teys Charlton and arrived in spectacular style – the cattle were walked approximately 12 km along country roads through blooming canola and grain fields by Sam Gladman, one of our experienced Livestock Managers whose passion for cattle, camp-drafting, and community shines through.
In camp-drafting, looking after the cattle is everything, and this weekend was no different — every animal was treated with care, respect and expertise all the way through.
The Charlton Campdraft Club, run by a passionate group including many current and former Teys team members, continues to promote the sport of camp-drafting and raise funds for local causes. Since the club started in 2022, the club has donated over $9,500 back to various charities, individuals and local community groups. It’s grassroots action with real impact.
Such an incredible community effort! From sponsors and judges to caterers, bartenders, stall holders, and the Bourke family for hosting — every helping hand made this year’s campdraft a huge success. The event, now firmly entrenched in local calendars, brings people together, supports regional Australia, and celebrates the best of country life.
