SMTS 2025 Supermarket Trade Show Japan: Teys Connects with Japanese Retail at Makuhari Messe

From February 12th to 14th, 2025, Teys participated in the Supermarket Trade Show (SMTS) held at Makuhari Messe as part of the Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) stand. This key industry event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with leading Japanese retailers and showcase our premium brand beef to the Japanese market. 

SMTS 2025 attracted a large and interested audience of 77,305 attendees, reflecting the strong interest within the Japanese food retail sector.  

The Teys Booth: A Productive Hub 

At the Teys booth, Lachlan Teys, along with the Japan sales team including Jason Foster, Kenji Yamada and Takayama Hitomi, welcomed visitors and engaged in productive discussions. They focused on strengthening existing client relationships and exploring potential new partnerships. 

 

Showcasing a Diverse Range of Teys’ Premium Beef 

At this exhibition, we presented a diverse selection of branded beef tailored to the preferences of Japanese consumers. From the recently debuted Teys Black to the popular Teys Certified Angus and Riverine, we showcased a collection of high-quality beef. 

 

Highlighting the Quality and Versatility of Australian Beef 

SMTS provided an excellent platform for Teys to showcase the exceptional quality and versatility of Australian beef to the Japanese market. Through direct interaction with customers, we deepened their understanding of the Teys brand and gathered valuable insights for future business development.
