Program Overview

The EU Program is built on strict compliance with the European Union Cattle Accreditation Scheme (EUCAS), which ensures full lifetime traceability and guarantees that cattle are entirely free from hormonal growth promotants (HGPs).

Traceability & Accreditation

All eligible cattle must be lifetime traceable via the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) and carry an NLIS tag. Valid EU Vendor Declaration (EUVD) are required, and the cattle must have been in the vendor’s ownership for a minimum of 60 days prior to delivery to Teys.

HGP-Free Requirement

Cattle must never have been treated with hormonal growth promotants. This is a strict, non-negotiable requirement of EUCAS and the foundation of market eligibility.
