Our Approach to Food Safety

Food Safety and Quality

We undertake strict hygienic practices to ensure that our products meet the highest possible food safety standards.

Our food safety programs are based on internationally recognised best practices. Our technical expertise in food safety and quality management enables us to manage, assess, protect and improve the safety, wholesomeness and integrity of our products. Our food safety and quality objectives are regularly reviewed, assessed and updated in order to facilitate continuous improvement.

We know how important it is that our beef products are high quality, delicious and safe for consumption.

Livestock Handling

The health and welfare of the animals that we process is our primary concern. We undertake good husbandry and strict quarantine measures to ensure that our animals are treated humanely and remain disease-free.

Food Safety + HACCP

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) is a process used for the identification, evaluation and control of food safety hazards. We operate an extensive HACCP program, which is underpinned by a series of comprehensive standard operating procedures.

Our HACCP program, in combination with our hygienic practices and the food-safety education of our food handlers, is pivotal to ensuring that we meet the highest standards of food safety.

Compliance + Inspection

All of our products are assessed for their compliance with the Australian Standards and Overseas Country Requirements.

Our meat hygiene, safety regulations and certifications are overseen by the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR), and our food safety programs are third-party audited to ensure compliance. You can check out our accreditation on our certification page.

Commitment to Quality

We operate an extensive sampling and testing program to make sure that our strict standards produce food that is safe for consumption. We conduct daily testing on our beef products before we ship them to our customers, so you can rest assured that our meat is always of the best quality.

When it comes to our food safety, we constantly invest in new technologies and implement plans for continuous improvement.
