The Teys Grain-Fed Programs give producers a reliable, premium pathway for supplying feeder cattle to enter our feedlots to access local and international grain fed markets.

For our grain-fed program, Teys purchase feeder cattle for our three strategically located NFAS-accredited feedlots at Condamine Qld, Jindalee NSW, and Charlton VIC to be fed an approved ration for at least 100 days. It’s a simple, proven program that rewards consistency, quality, and trusted feedlot practices – backed by Teys’ strong supply chain and market access.

Teys also purchase finished Grainfed cattle from NFAS accredited feedlots.

Program Overview

The Teys Grain-Fed Program is built on a foundation of consistency, compliance, and quality. It provides a clear, accredited pathway into premium grain-fed beef markets in Australia and overseas.

Feedlot Accreditation

Grain fed cattle must be sourced from a feedlot accredited under the National Feedlot Accreditation Scheme (NFAS) – Australia’s national, independently audited quality assurance system for feedlots. This ensures standards are upheld across the supply chain.

Animal Welfare & Traceability

As part of the NFAS framework, feedlots must adhere to strict animal welfare protocols and maintain complete traceability through the supply chain.

Minimum Feeding Requirement

Eligible cattle must be fed an approved ration for a minimum of 100 days. This grain-based feeding regime supports consistent weight gain, marbling, and eating quality.
