Charlie is responsible for leading the non-primary processing business units of the Teys enterprise including our US business headquartered in Chicago, Teys Australia joint ventures in both wholesale and export sales, and the 3 operational locations for Teys Food Solutions servicing the retail and food service sectors.
Charlie has over 12 years’ experience in the meat processing industry, commencing his career with Cargill in 2009 at the Wagga facility working across environment, health and safety and sustainability portfolios. In 2012 he transitioned to Teys Australia as part of the joint venture with Cargill, and has held senior roles in Environment, Corporate Affairs, and Asset Management. Most recently Charlie has led the Domestic Sales team for Teys and now brings his enterprise-wide experience to his current role. Charlie holds an Honours degree in Natural Resource Management.
In his current role, Lachy is responsible for the operation of the 2 shift Beenleigh facility at Teys processing up to 1500 head per day.
Lachy has been a part of Teys since 1990 and started work at the Beenleigh facility prior to leaving school, working and supervising all areas. He has since worked at 5 of the 6 Teys establishments always in Operations, as Assistant Plant Manager Naracoorte, Plant Manager Rockhampton, and General Manager Operations Tamworth. He has spent time in Teys Support Services as Group Manager Operational Support before heading back to plant operations as General Manager Operations Naracoorte and now General Manager Operations Beenleigh.
Michael leads the operations and manufacturing capabilities across Teys’ Food Solutions portfolio including operational and capital planning, operational excellence and continuous improvement, people and team development, and the core manufacturing functions: production, workplace health and safety, food safety and quality control.
Michael joined Teys in 2014, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from various roles across the food manufacturing industry, both in Australia and abroad. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Diploma in Business Administration and Management.
Liam is responsible for the operations and efficiency of Teys Centralised Cold Store facility at the Port of Brisbane, as a key component of our logistics and supply chain management.
Liam joined Teys Australia in 2021 and brings a wealth of experience in logistics and supply chain management and optimisation to Teys. He has most recently come from a senior director role for DHL in Singapore with a focus on innovation and technology to increase efficiency and productivity and has also fulfilled senior logistics roles for News Corp Australia. Liam holds a master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Elissa is responsible for the strategy development, implementation and commercial performance of Teys’ Food Solutions portfolio, and the Teys NPD function for key retail customers including service processing and retail supplementary boxed beef sales in the domestic market.
Elissa joined Teys in 2020 and has over 15 years’ meat industry experience both in Australia and the US. Prior to joining Teys, Elissa had led the marketing and product development for Thomas Foods International in the US across multi-channel distribution and partnered with some of the largest names in US supermarket retailing and food service. Her career commenced with MLA in 2007 and followed a passion for the livestock and meat sector that Elissa fostered while working on a cattle farm during her university days, studying for her Bachelor of Agricultural Economics.
Amanda is responsible for the end-to-end service and account management of one of Teys’ key domestic retail partnerships.
Amanda has over 15 years’ experience in the livestock and meat processing industry with foundational roles in Bindaree Beef from 2003. Amanda held senior livestock management roles, and led the supply chain management function for the Bindaree Beef group, as well as steering their financial control function before taking on current her account management role at Teys. Her deep understanding of the supply chain and production is highly valued by Teys customers.
Dennis is responsible for production and manufacturing at Teys’ cooked value-added sites, Hemmant and Morningside in Queensland, with a focus maximising operational efficiency and product quality. Leading a team of 15, Dennis oversees the end-to-end production process from production scheduling and raw material handling to packaging and loadout.
Stuart’s role as trainee plant manager at Teys Beenleigh facility is responsible for both learning and supporting the day-to-day operations of the processing plant including optimising manning, increasing yield efficiency and supporting the achievement of daily production targets to customer specifications.
With 8 years’ experience in the cattle and livestock industry, Stuart joined Teys Australia in 2019 as a commercial analyst. Prior to commencing with Teys, Stuart was an assistant manager at Morgan Pastoral Company, and has also worked in cattle operations management in NT. Stuart is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UQ.
